Minecraft Trails and Tales Update Released With Patch Notes

The long wait is finally over for Minecraft fans. The Trails and Tales update is finally in the ever-popular sandbox game. We've known it was coming for quite some time now, so there aren't too many surprises for anyone who's been paying attention. That said, it's chock full of new content that should please just about every Minecraft player as it adds new biomes, mobs, an archeology system, and so much more. This update should inject new life into your world, while also providing great new ways for map builders to create whatever they can dream up.

As mentioned, one of the most exciting new additions is archeology, which gives players access to a craftable brush that they can use on Suspicious Sand or Gravel to search for hidden items like collectible Pottery Sherds. There's also the new Cherry Grove biome which gives the new cherry wood set. On top of that, Mojang has implemented a bamboo wood set, giving players two new wood types to play with.

There are a ton more, but the other most exciting additions are the new mobs. The Sniffer won the player vote at Minecraft Live 2022 and it can be used to dig for Torchflower seeds or a Pitcher Pod, which both grow into crops that give you different dyes. There's also the Camel, which can be found in the desert and is rideable by two players at once.
